UNDERSTANDING AND PROTECTING THE KUSKOKWIM RIVER
Numerous studies of the Kuskokwim River have been done and are continuing, so that the effects of additional activity required to construct and operate the mine can be evaluated. Studies include:
- fishing activity and river use surveys from Georgetown to Kuskokwim Bay
- erosion studies
- barge wake impact studies
- sediment and water sampling
- noise observations
- wildlife observations
